It is completely normal to feel nervous before a first session. Knowing what to expect can help.

Getting to know each other

Your therapist will ask what brings you to therapy and a little about your life. You only share what you are comfortable sharing.

Agreeing how to work together

Together you will talk about what you would like to change and how often you might meet.

Asking your own questions

You are welcome to ask about your therapist’s approach and experience. Feeling comfortable with them matters.
